Owl for wooley woods

Every year I try to make something for the woolen woods at Belper ( Derbyshire) this year its the snake in a previous post and this year its an owl!

I've been told it looks a bit like Sage from The Herbs! He's fastened to an embroidery hoop and I think its a great way to make a creature when you don't want to stuff it!

I was very pleased with the finished result and even learned how to make half circles in the process.

A mans card and something quick

2 things a card maker is always looking :  a card for a man and a quick card. These cover both of those!

Firstly the man's card,  which is a simple easel design. The clock stamp is by Kanban but I've had it for some time now. To be honest it irritates me somewhat as some of the numbers are wrong but as people hardly notice I suppose it doesn't matter.

The second card is a cat...

It couldn't be simpler. It's a tent fold. A straight line is cut between the ears and a score line drawn from the end of this line to the top of the card each side. This is folded back both ways then pushed in to form the ears. All the rest of the shapes are die cut. Easy peasy!

Wedding card

Didn't really have a  plan for this card.  It was for Peter and Sarah's wedding day. Hope they liked it!

The main picture has been applied to printed acetate then stuck to the front of an apperture card. The beading has been attached with think p.v.a. glue and the larger words of the greeting were die cut.

It made quite a large card!
