Here are a few of the cards I've made recently...the best of the bunch
And a few more...
The papers came from New Zealand and took an age to arrive but I think it was worth the wait.
It's birthday time again!
These cards are for 2 special grandchildren who share a birthday. ( Not twins but born on the same day 5 years apart) One of them is a typical teenager while the other is a "Stitch" fanatic!
Here is a sunflower version of the daisy pattern used for the last wave card.
I think I will make up a wave for the inside using matching colours!
I made a prick and stitch design for the front to create a really special card. I'm not sure what I will use it for so I'll be not added any greeting just yet.
Much more pleased with this one!
I wanted to make something a bit spectacular for this class and found this on the net. ( Tutorial on Mixed up Crafts)
It was a bit of a challenge but not as hard as it looks. Really like the design and determined to make more.
This is not my card but we made something similar for class in 18th June this year. It made a nice "just a note" type of card.
This week we are making a floating diamond card. The size is easy to adapt...each panel is half the width of the depth of the card.
I think it would make a good mother's day card too. The main thing to remember is that the picture on the left ends up at the front when the card is folded.
Here's just a few of the cards that I made for the community fair in May...
Seems to have been a busy month!
This week's sample is a corner fold card (instructions on Pinterest)
It was good to use a D.S.P. ( double sided paper) as a card base for a change and one of the stamps I've been wanting to use for ages. The topper is a bit bigger than the one in the original design but I don't feel it looks any worse for it.
I'm planning to make more of these in the future!
This week we all made tea bag folding cards.
The one on the right is made up of 16 pieces. What we realised was, how important it was to be absolutely accurate! It made a change and created a nice effect though.
I wanted to make something different this week and found this style of card on the net. Added a few little mice taking tea to ring the changes...
It folds down flat to fit in an envelope.
I don't usually make many cards for Easter but wanted to turn these dies into daffodils!
I thought putting them on an egg shaped just finished it off.
I treated myself to a pretty little die recently and thoroughly enjoyed using it! Here's the result...
I copied the design from the internet because I loved it so much!
I thought a suspended tent fold card would be just right for this little duckie!
Hope it'll brighten someone's day!
This week's project is 3 bookmarks.
An origami version...
A bookmark card..
Here are some of the stitched (by one needle or another) items I've made over the 2020's...
Busy busy busy!
