This year I entered 3 projects into the horticultural show at Mundy Street and 2 of them came first.
Sam made a tea bread and hot a first for that! Didn't we do well!

This week we made a framed centre panel card. It's possible to use any subject and this makes a nice light card!
I picked out some of the detail in the background paper by colouring it in the same colour as the butterfly.
Time for a bit more stitching. I thought this daisy design was really lovely but I forgot to take a picture of the card.
This is the best I can do!
It's ages since I last did any of this with kaleidoscopic papers. I really enjoyed these projects they make such attractive gifts!
Recently Paul's taken more interest in bird watching so I thought this card would be appropriate. I used a Woodware stamp for it. ( I love woodware designs and I've got quite a few of them.
I still have a few craft creations papers including the one I used for this card. I cut the background away and used the picture to create a 3d box card.. I think it looked really good!
Here are 2 cards made from strips. The first is called a "Staggered "z" fold card and the second one is a "Double vision card"
The first includes quite a lot of measuring but I think it's worth the work involved. The second takes 2 papers that are both the same and is a good way of using oddments.
Although we don't usually make Easter cards I thought this rabbit one could just as easily be for an anniversary. Wanted to make an Easter basket too to help me to remember the pattern.
Having already made a vertical arched card I wanted to try one that sat horizontally.
This is a Triple diagonal layered arch card ( design on Pinterest) Its constructed in a different way from the vertical one but still lies flat in an envelope.
The colours on the card are more seasonal and subtle, and , I think, quite pretty.
Here's another arched card as promised! This time I photocopied the flower design and increased the size so that everything would match.
It's a bit bolder than the others but I feel it's quite effective!
I saw this design on the net and wanted to share it with my ladies.
It's an arched pop up card with 3 panels. The designs on the front are 3d decoupage ( fussy cut) and I thought it would be nice to have a darker panel in the middle. I really enjoyed making them and I'll be making more of them in the future!
Last time the class made a really pretty easel card using craft creations papers. I must have been really busy because I forgot to take a photo of it!
Just wanted to leave a note here to remind me of what we did.
I quite liked the shape of this card. When I found the instructions on the net I had to have a go!
When the outer sections are bought around the front the card folds flat. Nice to have something s bit different!
Made this card for a darts fan who'll be turning 60 in a few weeks. ( Treble top is 60)
I think it's quite clever really!
Although I'm going backwards quite a bit this time, design wise, I thought it would be fun to dip into the archives!
This card took quite a while because I altered the proportions to fit the stamp. ( Wouldn't do that again!!) Even so, I was pleased with the finished result.
I haven't added a greeting because it's suitable for so many different occasions. There's a space on the back for signing.
These are cards for Ben ( who often cooks at family barbecues) and Albie...can't believe he's already 8!
Helen's cleaner Liz has been going through a tough time health-wise so I made this little Get well card to cheer her up!
I was asked to make a card for a little girl ( aged 8) who is dying of cancer. She has had a long and difficult journey.
Further investigations told us that she was a big fan of Lilo and Stitch so it seemed like an appropriate choice. This is the finished result....
I don't know her. I'll never meet her but I wish her well.
Time for some stitching which everyone loves! It's always too big a project to complete in one session but no one minds finishing at home if it's something interesting.
This time it's a lovely vase of flowers!
It'll work in other colours of course but I think it's a good idea to match the vase and flowers with each other.
It's 2026 and time for new classes!
I always like to start with something steady and straight forward so I chose these cards. They are very easy and straight forward and I did all of the cutting out!!
Hope they like them!
